St Hilda's Way

I drove north to Hinderwell on Sunday for the Well Eucharist and Dedication of St Hilda's Way led by the Bishop of Whitby (pointy hat). 'Walking St Hilda's Way' is the eighth walking guide book I produced in association with John and Nancy Eckersley (the non-robed folk featured either side of St Hilda's Well) who devised the route. Following the service many of those attending then set off on the inaugural pilgrimage walk from the well to Scaling Dam with a further five days walking to come before arriving at Whitby Abbey on Friday. Sadly I'm having to work otherwise I'd have walked much of it with them. The lot of a self-employed graphic designer is not always a happy one, particularly when it's such gorgeous weather. I hope all the pilgrims have a great week and help raise lots of money for Christian Aid and the Whitby Churches' Mission Fund.
