Wild

We have a patio area outside our kitchen which, if I don't treat it every year, starts to grow weeds around the edges. I have been slow to treat it this year so, sure enough, weeds have been growing.  However, among them have been a couple of self seeded wild poppies. It's not really the place I want them to grow, but they were quite pretty.

So I decided to photograph one this evening.  But when I got outside, I found that the petals had already dropped.  The blip is therefore of a petal-less poppy head.
