Himalayan Jaws
I thought I'd try something different for today's blip, moving away from the landscapes I usually shoot and instead reaching for the macro lens.
I decided to stay close to home; this is a burst seedpod from a Himalayan Lily - aka Mount Peel Lily - stands in our garden. This year it produced an amazing flower, but now it stands dried out and brown, with several of these rather menacing looking jaws left over after spitting out its seeds.
I've finally decided today to make some more progress on my Astrophotography venture - I'm now taking bookings for night photo walks here in South Canterbury. Find out more at my facebook page and website.
