Summer stall

On the predicted hottest day of the year the stalls at the outdoor market in Milngavie were being set out as I made an early morning visit. The elderly stallholder told me his wife aged 87 looked after the 80 hens  despite her heart bypass eight years ago. I think that's terrific and probably what keeps her going. I'll remember her when I'm having my boiled egg tomorrow morning. The Scottish strawberries are fabulous. I wonder how many millions will be consumed today!
