The weather is not very midsummer night's dreamy - although, actually, isn't there something at the beginning about the seasons being turned upside down?
I had expected to spend the day inside and had planned some sewing but as the weather was for once permitting of gardening at the weekend that's what I did. I hope Monty Don was right when he told us on gardeners' world that there's still time to plant peas and beans...
