The Old Oak tree

There are twelve of these grand old oak trees lining either side of the stretch of Offa's Dyke we walk Moss along each day, and I try to pass them all every time.

On mornings like this morning, this is no hardship. 0515, the sun is up, the sky is blue, the temperature is hot and the cows are in the final stages of chewing the cud and generally waking up prior to the farmer gathering them in for the first milking of the day. The odd piddle and poo to be heard - and sometimes felt if we're too near - and a good morning greeting to them all as we wander past.

What more could a man want?
