Ice alert

This is our whizzy wireless indoor/outdoor thermometer currently showing 33deg outside (and will probably go hotter).  The Ice alert light should remind me to fill up the freezer ice box except that our new fridge freezer hasn't got down to temperature yet.

It's actually a warning when it is near freezing and is so irritating (in winter) that I have cut the wire to the beeper.

I don't like it as hot as this.  Technophobe will tell you it makes me bad tempered (and it's true)
