Joyful Skating

My daughter joined a roller derby team in the town in Texas where she lives so it seemed like a fun idea to have a roller party for her and her friends (and their kids) while she was home.
After watching the youngsters out on the roller rink for more than an hour, I decided to go out there myself and see if I could maintain verticality while moving along on 8 wheels.  
Speed was neither my goal nor desire and others were kind enough to go around me as I toe walked along.  I completed 3 circuits of the rink and retired to the watcher's table and normal shoes.  But I was proud that I'd gotten off the floor without ever having touched it with anything but the skates.
