Far too hot for doing anything much today!  My car registered the outside temperature in Chesham town centre as 35°C at 4 p.m. this afternoon.  The steering wheel burnt my hands.  The air conditioning had to go on as soon as I started the ignition lest I should melt away.  After working in BBC studios resembling an Arctic wasteland for more than 30 years, I just can't cope with heatwaves.

Once back at home I stumbled upon an in-board colour splash effect buried in the menus of my new camera, which enables you to pick out just one primary colour as you take your photo.  Cool!
