Not Porty People or Places

As promised in yesterday's blip here is the reason we were staying in Lochaber.

Our youngest was part of a team of six who set off from John o' Groats on Saturday to cycle to Land's End in ten days. On the way they are climbing the Three Peaks - Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon. This feat is known as The End to End Ultra!

Today the team had set off from Inverness and were heading for Glen Nevis to climb Ben Nevis before supper. Tomorrow they head south from Fort William to New Lanark.  

We felt tired just thinking about the distances involved , before we even began to think about the altitude involved, in this ten day feat!
