Life on the edge of the world

Wow! Bay St. Lawrence - what a place to live!! Right on what feels like the edge of the world. Spring breakup of ice, flows down from the St. Lawrence River into the top of Cape Breton. We visited this lovely couple who served us a wonderful meal of cod (which they caught - they are fisherfolk) and lima beans and rice.I was blown away by the light and shapes in the ice - the picture is spectacular but the reality was much more so.
