Waiting his turn

With a loud squawk,  the blue jay announces his arrival in the neighborhood. Sometimes he zooms right into the feeders, but this morning he decided to land in the neighbor's apple tree and wait for his turn. The extra photo shows what he did next.

After a loud thunderstorm in the middle of the night, the day dawned without rain. We even had a little sunshine, and the temperature was only in the mid 70s. A pretty nice day for July 1st.
