Western Tiger Swallowtail

We followed this beautiful butterfly around for quite a while on our walk this morning, waiting for him to land. Finally we gave up and Tony and I sat in the shade to rest.  When we got up to resume our walk, there he was sunning himself in a nearby tree.  :-)
