Shopping cart staircase

Our newest Safeway store on Beretania Street is suppose to be state of the art, incorporating all manner of new things - the requisite deli, inside store Starbucks, florist, fish counter, wide aisles, bright shiny clean and new.  The parking is under the store, you ride an elevator - or the escalator- up to the store.   It's a kind of funny feeling going up to shop in this stand-alone store.  This is the first time I have seen this cart lift being used.  However, I was struck by the warning to "  . .   remove children .. " before you sent a cart up.   Guess it has to be said  . . .
