Interloper in the Monarch Sanctuary

My husband leaves a stand of milkweed when he mows the field. He calls it the monarch butterfly sanctuary. I looked for them today, but only found this copycat fellow. Anyone know what it is? Similar colors, but not a Monarch! Where are they this year, I wonder?
