Puppet

I bought this puppet in a night market in Chiangmai in the eighties. I'm sad I never saw it in operation....there's a string to operate each eye as well as one for the mouth. It must have been impressive. I was lucky enough to see a puppet show in Sri Lanka and although we didn't understand a word, the emotion of the performance was palpable.
