The first day...

...of a new month and already it is the hottest July day ever recorded in the UK: a temperature of 36.7C (98F) was recorded at Heathrow. My car recorded 36C at around 11 am this morning.
Later this afternoon, Violet and her Mummy popped in to see us before heading out to a birthday party. Violet had fun in the garden while Mum put the finishing touches to a birthday cake.
I just love the way that Violet's hair curls in the heat and I thought that in the photos that I took today, she is beginning to look so grown up - not so much a baby but now a little girl.
