The Preparations Are Underway

Our little town celebrates the 4th in a big way.  The buntings and flags are hung.  There will be a parade, the local pastor will be the MC and he's pretty funny. The village green will be filled with people to watch.  There will be contests and games, including a "kiss the puppy" game, face painting and watermelon eating.   Then the chicken BBQ and mud volley ball games.  Lots of junk food, family picnics and later on fireworks from Cemetery Hill.  
My niece and her family will join us tomorrow and we'll have a sleepover. So looking forward to it.
