Hot Day at the Harbor

11 a.m. and already 80 degrees in Benicia (27 C). We took a walk right down First Street. That's my favorite walk. Lots of people were out and about, eating at the sidewalk cafes, walking their dogs, strolling with childeren. Most of the shops weren't open yet.

The water was still and there was no breeze. That's really unusual by the water. There is almost always a breeze down there, a mile from Wellington.

I snapped this photo at the little park at the end of West C Street, next to the old shipyard. That's the Carquinez Bridge in the background.
