Hammering

I was walking past the building site in front of Marischal College when I noticed the gates into the site were open giving an almost unobscured view of Marischal College. A loud sound of hammering was coming from the ram attached to the crane on the left. Despite opposition it looks as though the construction of a large glass office/retail complex is going ahead.

As can be seen from the picture the weather changed today, after the 27 degrees of yesterday today we have 14 degrees today, though I thought many people (including myself) were dressed for something rather warmer. When I took the photograph at around lunch time the haar had come in, so the tops of higher buildings were almost lost in the mist.
