Tall Ships Race Belfast "Day 1"

Well it's arrived and Belfast harbour is proudly displaying dozens of magnificent ships. We couldn't have asked for better weather it's been glorious, after such awful weather up until recently. So this was yesterday's blip, day 1, we are here today again. We are very lucky to live so close to the lough and have tried different parts of of the festival. The ships are spread out over different docks. Pollock Dock, Clarendon Dock, Abercorb Basin and Queens Quay at Titanic. Street entertainers, live music, tours round the ships, several continential markets, funfairs, Ferris wheel, craft workshops from the kids. They made kites yesterday and done pirate treasure hunts and won chocolate coins. Belfast City should be very proud of how they have organised this 4 day event. Tomorrow at Titanic and our iconic Harland & Wolff shipyard will have a fireworks display to celebrate 4th July and Sunday we can watch the ships sale out to start their race around the Causeway Coast with the Red Arrows flying over Belfast. Exciting!!!!
