Braco Castle Gardens

Finally found this place, thanks to directions from fellow blipper itsonlyme !

I didn't manage to see the lovely laburnum grove she spotted on 22 June (perhaps they had died down?), but there were lots of other wonderful plants and sculptures to admire and we had the whole gardens to ourselves!

The markings on this rhododendron by the large pond made it one of the lovliest I've seen, although a deep pink beauty came a close second:-)  There were lots of "rooms" in the garden - all different and all beautiful.  There were also several sculptures, either in wood or stone, tucked away in surprising locations waiting for you to spot them.  (See extra photos).

A beautiful sunny day, our first for so long and just perfect for visiting this garden.  Hope yours was sunny too:-)
