Sunflowers Galore

This was a scene near the start of our drive to our next lodgings, near Vezelay. We made three stops on the way:   First at the Nicéphore-Niépce Museum of photography (named for an early pioneer of photography, it covers everything imaginable--just fascinating). Then the cathedral at Autun, and finally the modest basilica at Saulieu.  Autun is much the grander, but both are especially noted for their capitals.

Time for bed after the long day. I'll try to add a bit more tomorrow.
