Friday: St George And The Dragon

It was sad today to hear of the death of Marija Braut, one of Croatia's most famous photographers.  She was sometimes referred to as the Vivian Maier of Croatia - well, in recent years after Vivian Maier was discovered.  We sometimes used to see her in a bar in Upper Town, looking exactly like she does in this very excellent photo.

Other than that, some errands to run after work in the form of getting a haircut and getting some more vitamin B12 for Freddie.  It's hard to tell whether it is helping his spine as his vestibular disease also makes him wonky but it certainly won't be doing him any harm.

In my new 'landmarks of Zagreb' series, this is St George and the Dragon, outside the National Theatre.  There is another statue of St George in town - you can bet you'll be seeing that before too long!
