The Lakes

First day properly flying solo with my two little ones and largely it went very well. Well we survived it.

This morning was a challenge with C being particularly hyper whIle we attempted to do jobs and shopping around town. We ended up in Waitrose calming down with everyone drinking milk (apart from me) which seemed to work.

After lunch and a long nap for both (yay!) we headed to the lakes to meet our little friends Joshua, Amelia, Luca, Kiran & Fern - the little ones all ran riot, played, picnicked, chased each other and generally wore themselves out all afternoon. It was so nice to be out and about and to feel like I could manage after all the stress of the past month :-) so nice to be out with C and see him on the mend too.
