Berliner Mauer; East Side Gallery

The former menacing Berlin Wall has been turned into a gallery for graffiti and large scale art works.

This is a close up of one panel - there were many to chose from and they are spread across the city.

The gallery in fact runs along the shore line of the River Spree, which was the frontier between East and West Berlin (the East Berlin frontier included the full width of the Spree).
