Day 7 - Punch Line

Yet another new photographic experience for me: boxing, a sport I never watch. But it's never too late to learn, right? :)
I was fortunate to get some guidance from a sports pro photog who was there on assignment for several major papers; we chatted a bit and he shared lots of info about camera settings, focus points, and what should and should not be included in the shot. I got a ring side (and I mean nose to the rope) position. I could have stood right on a platform next to the ring, but felt a bit self-conscious (what? moi?). Not a sport I'm likely to follow, but a great experience to widen my scope of photography :)
