Swallowtail Butterfly
On the Friday we visited an ancient Gallic settlement at Enserune, which was fascinating and you can read a little more about this pre-Roman site here. The site is extensive and allowed to grow freely, and is home to so many gorgeous Swallowtail Butterflies.
The extra is of the Etang de Montady, which is a drained wetland, with channels that draw the water from the land into a central point and into a culvert which takes the water away, leaving land for farming. Quite a feat of engineering!
