Happy Independence Day!

Dear Diary,

Another 4th of July and I will be celebrating with friends later today at the farm of Beulah and Gertie.  I will try and get some more photographs but they have grown so much!  I may have missed my opportunity for a story of a "piglet" and a "lamb"!  No matter.  It will be fun to see them.

This day has come to symbolize cookouts and fireworks and fun at the beach or lake but I try to remember what it really means and to keep in my heart all those around the world who do not live in freedom.  It is so easy to take it for granted.
