Summertime Hollyhock

This Hollyhock is one of three in my garden.It has been planted now for 3-4 years and most years it has been devastated by slugs. This year I bought some Slug repellents made from Sheep's Fleece.The theory being that Slugs don't like dry course surfaces so they don't cross it!
   It seems to have worked on this one so I will try it on the others?
Great shortage of bird life today hence the macro shot again?
