Rhubarb Jam
The rhubarb patch sits beside the compost bin and the downspout from the eavestrough; so, enough rhubarb to supply several families with the makings of jam and pie. This is S's effort representing 12 cups of chopped rhubarb...actually about 12 stalks.
Eavestrough, according to the Oxford English Dictionary, is a Canadian term which refers to the narrow trough attached to edge of the roof to catch run-off. I had to look it up as the computer obviously doesn't like the word. That's not surprising as S's American dictionary doesn't have it. Now S wonders what others call this very useful article.
