Gap jumped!
Great day up the other side of the valley, spent most of it on the zore runs. Phil conquered the road gap that had him spooked (understandably) last year. I've used his photo as it came out better than mine...
Mick had some bad luck with his bike today, squealing brakes and "8" broken spokes meant a few extra trips to town for repair. Fingers crossed his new wheel will be built and back on the bike by the morning.
No major crashes, just some tired slips here and there. The journey back from super Morzine, which is always a shocker took its toll on Andy and Mick. Don't think they will be doing that again. Also the guy we found upside down in a bush was probably glad we turned up to untangle him from his bike to continue the descent. It was proper sketchy...
Phil and I did a quick blue run down plenney to finish off the day, even managed to catch the end of the downhill World Cup with a beer in the pulled pork (can't remember it's name) bar at the bottom.
My ankle has taken a bashing today, first a pedal slip, then a trip through some brambles followed by being bitten by a dog. Even the French dogs hate me. Think there's a bit of sunburn on it too just in case it wasn't sore enough...
Switzerland tomorrow!
I wonder if the airbag will be there?
