All dressed up
I ventured up to heart of my little town, Gilbert, SC today for the annual Peach Festival. Lexington County is a major peach growing area of our state and the festival has been going on for over 50 years I think. It was a very pleasant morning instead of the heat and humidity so there was thousands of people there for the parade, music, craft vendors and food. Lots of peach ice cream, cobbler and icy peach slush. I only stayed about 2 hours but I am heading back out about 7:30 for some music and a big fireworks show tonight!
The houses along the street were all dressed up with their red, white and blue celebrating the USA.
