My friend had weekend tickets for Silverstone and invited me along f.o.c to today's practice session.

I stayed at his house in Watford last night and we drove up to Silverstone this morning.

I didn't realise quite how big an event the whole thing is. It's a full on 3-4 day festival revolving around the F1 GP on Sunday but also including the GP2, GP3 and Porche races. In addition, they have live music in the evening to entertain all the patrons who are camping just outside the circuit. Madness and Deacon Blue were amongst the bands playing this weekend.
