New feathers

All my hens have much brighter feathers now.  They were quite pale and drab last month.  This one that moulted the most now has some new feathers but also these fluffy white ones.

Well the birds have yet to find the bird feeder with its sugar water, bread and cut apple and crab apples. 
I did the NZ Bird survey this morning. Mid morning is not the best time but it fits with sitting in the sun with a coffee.  Saw a Hawk, (did not see the local falcon), a group of 6 starlings, a couple of silver eyes or wax eyes, a couple of sparrows, a blackbird, and a fantail. None that close to the feeder unfortunately.

Sky is now looking ominous. Bad weather coming. However I replanted my strawberries today while it was warm and pleasant.

So pleased about last night's game, especially as Otago was the underdog.
