Thank you JDO for last months challenge & to Skeena for the momentum (& rundown of themes to date)

I had 2 definite directions. The one I have chosen, I hope challenges but also inspire us to all find a different point of view. I'll save my other idea for another time.

Welcome to July's seasonal Mono!!
Having driven 950km west for the weekend, into endless blue sky & enjoyed the winter sun on our skin, it was glorious & felt like summer!!
Yet driving back across the Hay plain the freshly picked cotton is on its way to market ...is a sign that winter is here. However they never really secure the load losing a great deal of it that lies beside the road waiting for the wind & rain to clean up the mess. This roadside mess is like snow on a desert landscape.

So tomorrows mono is 'winter' (mm75)
PS: For those in the throng of a heatwave, those of us in winter will have the same challenge later in the month.

We humans are a funny lot. In the summer we seek points of reference to a cooler time of year, whilst winter we yearn for the warmth of summer. When it's raining we wish it would stop & in the dry we dance for rain. Unlike autumn & spring, which mesmerise us with colour & change.
