Planets aligned

On June 30 and Jul 1, planets Venus and Jupiter Conjunction can be seen in the western sky. Venus, the brilliant star and Jupiter the brightest planet were separated by 1.5 degree in term of alignment seen from Earth.

On this shot, the two planets are moving apart. Jupiter on the top whilst Venus is lower to the right.

Apparently in the month of Jul 2015, 5 planets can be seen. Check it out on Earthsky.org
