Roasted chestnuts

What a great sign of autumn, the colour of chestnuts and the smell of them when someone is roasting them....for then being enjoyed in good company with a glass of wine!...a nice warm image!

...and how to roast them for a huge amount of people, like in a chestnut fair for example?!...well as this man is doing on this pic! :) ...it was really fascinating (and incredibly hot) to stay there and look...at this big fire and the huge "pan"...it had some "blades" inside rotating, to move the chestnuts continuosly....together with the help of this man ...every now and then!
What a delicious smell (so for me) and even more wonderful taste...together with a good glass of "new" wine...a king's dish! (as we say!)
