Exhausted

Second sleepover of niece, nephews (youngest pictured) and bro.  After a late morning breakfast we drove to family favourite,  Swallows Aquatics - choosing to go via the B roads through Essex - so very green and lovely compared to Istanbul. Country roads.  Made me want to go and buy a bicycle.  Fascinated children and grown ups looking at tropical and freshwater fish followed by something-and-chips in their cafe.  Once back at Dad's house, our house, my bro inflated the paddling pool and much splashing ensued until finally, it was time for them to go home.  Having now dealt with the aftermath of their three day visit, I am unlikely to move from the sofa for the rest of the evening.    

Today would have been Mum and Dad's 63rd wedding anniversary.  It seems appropriate that Gareth and I have been together this entire weekend surrounded by his children.  Mum and Dad in 1950
