Stop the bus I want to get off!!

Long awaited trip to Valetta & Sliema today ... via the dreaded bus!! New company have taken over with new rules & major road works ... so it made for an interesting journey (75 mins direct to Valetta!!)!!!
Valetta is a beautiful but hot city! It has so much history - and more so with the book I am reading. Took some lovely photos as a great memento.
Took another bus (groan) round to St. Julian's Bay to go and find Karen's favourite cake shop ... which no longer exists (a tradition we are starting this holiday with several places this holiday!!).
We took the bus back to Sliema to photograph Valetta across the Grand Harbour and to look around the shops. Then it was time for the bus journey back to the hotel. Oh my goodness it was grim from the long wait for buses ... from the overcrowded bus (it took 30 mins to even get a seat!) ... to the slow crawl due to roadworks ... around 3 hours to get back ... needless to say we missed the gym session!!!!!
Very quick shower ... in time to get evening meal and more cocktails and think back over the day ... never again do I want to get on a Malta bus!!!!!
