House on the Bridge

A quieter day today after a busy weekend.  This afternoon I went for a wander round the village to find a photograph and found there was traffic chaos reigning.  A vintage car rally was taking place in a field on the edge of the village and the good weather had brought out a larger than expected number of visitors The police were out in force directing traffic and there were road closures in place also.

This is a very beautiful house located on the downstream, north side of the River Tyne at Corbridge.  A couple of hours after this shot was taken the heavens opened and a prolonged thunder storm took place. Thankfully I was back home by that time and the car rally should also have finished.
