The fountain of love

Many years ago when I was very young and carefree I told a colleague that  there were 3 things that I would never do because they signified getting old. They were:-

1.Listen to Radio 2

2.Shop at M&S

3.Join the National Trust

Last week I got the hatrick and did all 3 on the same day! (the first 2 I have been doing for a good few years already). So, with National Trust pass in hand I went of to Cliveden House in Berkshire. The house itself is now a posh hotel but was once notorious for the decadent lifestyle of the Astor family in the inter war years, the dubious connections with Nazism during the war and the Profumo Affair in the 60's.
This fountain was brought over from Italy in 1897.
