Maid of the Loch

A fabulous day was had by all as Portygirl and I ventured to Balloch a small town at the south edge of Loch Lomond.We had a very nice walk round a terrific and fairly new shopping centre built beside the loch with the added bonus of a "farmers market" although the nice Asian lad selling Pakora didnt seem like a farmer to me.
The picture is the large paddle steamer The Maid Of The Loch (1953) in the middle of a very large restoration project and we were free to wander on board.
