Local lake

Today I made another attempt at swimming in open water having been very disappointed by my efforts last Wednesday. I joined my friend at Boundary Water Park in Cheshire and did half a mile (a vast improvement on the 200 metres on my previous attempt). I emerged having enjoyed the swim and feeling more positive about the Great North Swim which is now less than 2 weeks away.

This is the lake I swam in on Wednesday - we stopped here for something to eat on the way home. I couldn't resist taking a photo of the reflections.
