Keeping In Tune.....
After a long day at work my friend and I decide to meet for a quiet drink.....and then I realise that the football is on, so I prepared myself for a riotous night.....but it wasn't at all!
The sporting supporters were very well behaved in fact, and before the second match had started a band had begun to set up. And much to my surprise, everyone who was watching the football at first were now more interested in the music that was about to start ;)
The guy pictured, was only part of the band, the lead singer would arrive later, but he was great on the guitar and I have to say I much preferred his voice and performance skills to that of the main attraction.
Nevertheless, the 3 piece managed to get the audience going with some well known tunes including Come Together by the Beatles.
I do love live music, I absolutely love it but I never really get enough of it and today's unplanned discovery was a lovely end to the day.
Without music, life would be a mistake.
~ Friedrich Nietzsche
With a nice cold drink, a packet of peanuts, some witty banter between songs and a communal tamborine (purple and star shaped I might add) .....everyone was smiling and lovely to one another, even though most people were strangers..... I think there should be more days like these ;)
Music is the voice that tells us that the human race is greater than it knows.
