K1 telephone box.

Much excitement at this sighting of a rare 1920s K1 telephone box in Bembridge High Street. The K1 was superseded by the better known K2 designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott. But I think this is not without charm and I like the spear-shaped finial on the roof. I had to call up my father-in-law who didn't seem to share my excitement, possibly because the call didn't sound any different from that in a K2.
