Welcome to Lefkada.........

Back Blipped.
Well finally arrived on Lefkada, very long day up at 2am to check in at Gatwick for 3-40am. Small Planet Airlines, "Top" airline. punctuality, service beyond compare, just superb.
Landed at Preveza airport which is actually on the Greek mainland 5 minutes early. Car collected from Avis, on our way for the journey onto Lefkada across the swing bridge, which looks far better when it's been photoshopped than it does in real life. Followed the directions provided by James Villas, and 65 minutes later we arrived outside of the gates of Villa Remnvi which is in the very small village of Feterno.
We do like to have secluded holidays, this villa is at an altitude of 872 metres, and at least half a mile from the nearest property.
Directly below us is the village of Katochori, in the distance are the combined villages of Steno, Kallithea and Nydri. Lovely sight when lit up at night, especially with the vantage point we have. All evidence of the sun had gone by about 10-15pm, went down into the pool pump house and turned out the pool lights, wow, how many stars..........!!
Sitting by the pool, having a few Bacardi's, music low in the background, looking at the lights twinkling in the distance, all put to shame by the billions of stars overhead.
The perfect ending to a great day.
