Winter Wood

Mono Monday: Winter

Not an easy challenge from Irunlykagirl this one!  It is July and the challenge this Monday is Winter ....

So here for you is a shot  of the log store, where the wood is drying nicely, waiting for the weather to change so that we can once again light a real fire when the evenings draw in and the frosts begin again.

I had a very enjoyable time with Mark, my friend from Congleton, and his family.  There were the inevitable trips to the pub and guitar playing, but we also ended up racing his son and niece and each other at upside down backwards crab racing on the lawn (I won), attempting to do cartwheels (we both failed dismally and the children were great) etc.  - Much levity ensued :-)
