The last corner

The heifers are grazing in the last corner of the field where there is still some grass left (the horse who was there earlier kindly left them some). We've been giving them some hay in recent days, but I think this week they'll need more feeding as their first paddock and the silage fields need some time to grow now.

Incredible after all the lousy weather we had in May and June that the first six days of July were beautiful and dry. As you can see from the sky here, that's about to change within a few hours.
