Mystery Bug

Okay Folks ... Which one of you lot are going to give me a clue as to this little critter's identity ... I take it the yellow stuff is pollen, but this chap doesn't appear to have wings of any sort..?? ...
This shot was taken of him dining on the table in the garden ... and the stuff he appears to be 'eating' was just a tiny white speck of something (maybe a tiny bit of bird ... erm ... poo) ...
Any guesses..?? ... :o)

UPDATE: It is in fact a Ladybird Larva ... Many thanks to 'magi', 'AJC' and 'Larchlea' for the information ... :o)
